Holding events and activities on a regular basis throughout the year is crucial to keep your participants engaged and is a great way to get people connected to the cause. It's important to hold different types of events (i.e. fundraising, stewardship, family/cause connection, fun) and to make sure some events are free for anyone to join in.

Important Tips for Planning Events
- PLAN AHEAD. Events planned with a tight turnaround usually aren't as good as events planned in advance. Planning ahead also gives you time to raise money and get donations from businesses, saving money.
- Make sure you market your event. Whether that means posting on social media, talking on your morning announcements, or even having members of your organization get all of their friends to come, will make a big difference in how successful it will be
- Understand the interests of the audience demographic and plan events and activities that would interest them
- An event may not be super successful right away. Remember, you are laying the foundation for your organization, so future teams can innovate and improve to make the event more successful
